Gray Whale Gin captures the essence of California's rugged coastline in every bottle. In 2016, advertising professionals Jan and Marsh Mokhtari were camping in Big Sur when they spotted a gray whale calf on its migratory path—an encounter that inspired them to create what they hoped would be the next great American gin.

Seven times distilled using six locally-derived botanicals, Gray Whale celebrates California's diverse terroir: wild juniper from Big Sur, limes from Baja, fir tree sprouts from Sonoma, kombu sea kelp from Mendocino, mint from Santa Clara, and almonds from the Central Valley. The result required 152 batches over two years to perfect.
