Heering is the world's first cherry liqueur, crafted in Copenhagen since 1818. When young businessman Peter F. Heering received a secret cherry brandy recipe from his former employer's wife, he transformed it into a spirit that would travel the world on cargo ships from Calcutta to Shanghai.

More than 200 years later, Heering remains the most awarded cherry liqueur, still made after the original family recipe. Ship captains once traded it in ports worldwide, and by 1884, it had earned the honor of purveyor to the Royal Danish Court.
